ASM skimmer Gate valve mod

Hi guys
Im planning on doing the gate valve mod on my asm skimmer
Im trying to get a 1.25 gate valve and im having a hard time finding one....Im not a plumber and I have no clue about different types of valves and stuff

Could you please let me know if this will work with the gate valve mod

do you know any other places that carries them online...I live in Canada and www.asmskimmer.com only ships with ups and that will cost me $100 total with brokerage fees....no thank you!!!

thats a ball valve just go to any plumbing store and ask for a gate valve perferably pvc

Ask for a 1 1/4" PVC sch40 ball/gate valve with slip ends. A competent person at a supply house will know exactly what you're looking for.

I wish it was that easy....In Canada, they use a different plumbing system and dont have gate valves that size so I have to get it online unfortunately....

Here are some valves, but they dont have 1.25:

Two of these would take care of that problem though:

Specifically, off the first link I would get "1.5 Slip" (#1165164911), and off the second link i would get two " 1.5" * 1.25" " (#437212). The bushings on the second link will let you attach 1.25" pipe into the 1.5" gate valve.

stingers81- I didn't put the fact you live in Canada in the equation. The 1 1/4" #PVCBSS12 $6.43 at Plumbing Supply will work just right for the valve mod for the G series skimmer.

You want to use a slip connection...

Also, just to help...when setting this up, you might want to have the gate valve plumbed in horizontally. I placed my vertically and don't have as much control as I would like to have had.
