Do Asterias rubens starfish eat coral? These are the red/yellow/orange starfish you find at the beach. I wasn't able to find any info online other than they eating mollusk, shrimp, clams, oysters, and snails. Does anyone know?

I had 2 asterias forbesi stars that I couldn't get to eat anything. Found them washed up on the beach in SC and thought I got one to eat a shrimp pellet, but that was questionable.

Didn't appear to eat bacteria in the sand, didn't touch any of my corals, didn't touch any snails and never found any of the little clams in the tank.

They also preferred colder temps, 78° or less.
