Asterina Maximum Size?

My tank is populated with the usual array of asterina stars--very small with an irregular number of legs. And then there's this guy.

Before he got cranky from my fiddling and pulled his arms in, he was over 3/4" wide. Is this still the basic asterina? Will it get much bigger? He's the only one like this.

Thats about as big as mine get. Yes regular old Asterina star.

i never saw any that big in my 29 gallon but my friend had some like that in his 90g. get yourself a harlequin shrimp. they do a great job eating them. i had probably a few hundred a month ago. then i added a harlequin and i never see any asterinas anymore and my coraline went from white spotted to solid purple. also she doesnt bother any of the fish or corals. infact yesterday she was running up the front of the glass then jumping onto my frogspawn like a soft landing pad. it doesnt seem to bother the corals like the hermits do
