Asterina starfish in refugium

My 9 month old 120g has a new refugium in the sump. Yesterday, I found an asterina starfish on the glass inside of it. I've never seen one inside of the display tank but this hitchhiker found the refugium? Could it have been beneficial to the reef tank if confined to the refugium?

They reproduce my dropping legs, then new starfish grow from the leg. I don't think it could make it up to ur DT but it's possible. Most eat algae film on rocks and glass but some eat zoas/palys... I have heard they are the more grey ones. I would remove it but that's cause I fear for my zoa/play collection lol. If they get out of control harlequin shrimp can take care of an infestation

I've seen tanks completely filled with these guys. I'd just take it out. I haven't seen them being beneficial.
