Does anyone know if Astrea snails' larvae and young will be eaten by wrasses?
It's random, but I've got a ton of young astreas after the few I had in there spawned and then died off about 6 months ago. The young are still small (2-3mm now) but used to be in huge proportions after the adult snails died. I'm hoping that they'll survive and grow into large astreas so I can move them into other bigger tanks. They've got plenty of algae to eat in the nano where they are, and they hide at night in the zoanthid gardens, as well as any rock crevice that they can.
I asked the original question because I'm toying with the idea of getting a small non-jumping wrasse for the nano, because the maroon clown is lonely, because the peppermint shrimp doesn't provide much companionship. I used to have a yellow corris wrasse in there for the longest time, but he disappeared after the last dorm room move, and never reappeared. And I can't add any more fish to my big tank cause it's almost overstocked as it is (10 fish now! wowzers!).
Thanks for reading my sick and middle of the night rambling...
