astrea snails spawned - question

So I watched my astrea snails spawn last night. Pretty cool.

My filter bag caught the majority of the spawn so I took the bag out and put it into a small holding tank.

How long should it take for the baby snails to show up?

all of them spawned...at the same time. the tank was full of eggs.

Some of the snails released eggs and some released a smokey substance.

Wow, that's amazing. I think it'll be a while til you actually see any juvies though. Make sure you keep up with your calcium level if you want to raise tons of baby snails! Also you should feed lots of live phytoplankton as their first bite since the juviniles will be eating phyto for awhile until they are big enough to eat macro algae.

Two weeks, roughly. At least it was that long for strombus grazers. I now have a fair number of them cruising about. I kept a small uncleaned patch of algae for them: put an algified (but not hairy) rock in with the eggs when close to hatch.

They all spawned again last night.

Two of them even paired up and it looked like one was inserting some sort of tube into the other.
