how long do they live? i got 5 bout 2 months ago.. and all of the sudden 4 of them died all with in a day of each other, and theres only one left. i also have 2 turbos that are fine..

They may have run out of food.

they need food, 5 lbs LR in a 20g is not enough. 1.5lbs per gallon or less snails. astrea eat decaying/uneaten food. clean rocks of diatom and algea, turbo also survive on algae. no food, they starve. my sugestion is more rock or less snails. REEF-ON!!!

have you checked your parameters lately? i do all of my tanks every Sunday. its my schedule since i work 60-72 hrs. a week avarage with some Saturdays off and all Sundays off. buy a Honda so i can grind more throttle shafts. lol! i only do about 2,000 a day.

all my paremeters are good except nitrates are always bout 20-30ppm. and i hardly ever see the snails on the rock. there always on the glass.

did they drown? astraea snails cant right themselves so if they fall off the glass on there back they drown. they live for many years. chances are they starved or drown.

no.. i always flipped them over right away when they fell upside down.. which they did alot.

My peppermint shrimp were rolling my snails over and picking at them.
I caught them doing this at night.
I've heard others say same thing.
It's a possibility
