AT&T Uverse and my AC3.....

I currently have AT&T Uverse and cannot access the route due to a firewall that AT&T won't let remote access. I'm not a computer guy, and I mentioned to the tech what I wanted to do with the AC3. Gave him examples. He said that it couldn't be done.

Is someone else using AT&T that got around this?

I have ATT Uverse and my AC3 works fine. Just need to setup in the router if its a diff port than 80.
