update
last night realized i may have to put the silencer back on since the noise from the air draw is more audible than before. I need to get the meter on it since it may be pulling more air now that it has been broken in a while and is getting fed better on the current system. I ran the silencer when i initially broke it in, but removed it since i like feeding hot RO water through the line during WCs and it makes it easier. I'll post a skim shot tomorrow. I'm sure there isn't a lot of interest in this skimmer due to the price tag and the pump, but it is a super performer and if the pump stands the test of time, it will be well worth the money for me.
another note; For those that run a skim locker, this skimmer doesn't have a secondary drain fitting on the cup. I would drill it myself but the skimmer cup sits so low in the sump that unless i raise the skimmer and increase my water level in sump, it is not doable for me. Others may be able to though if they can put it on a stand and get it high enough.
