ATI 8x80 height off water

Just looking for an opinion on height off the water for my ATI 8x80. Right now it's probably 15", which I think is a bit high.

Tank is all sps. I do not have a par meter, which I know would help in this situation.

i run a dimmable sunpower 8x54w over my tank and it sits around 9" over the water surface.
fixture height for me was decided by how much light was spilling into the room the tank is in and leaving accessibility to the top as it's covered and i have to lift my screen to feed.

I keep mine 10" off the water but my tank is only 18" deep. I get 350 par on the bottom of the tank.

I lowered mine a bit. I'm trying to get more light down to the sand bed.

I have an ATI 8x80 over my tank and it's probably about 5 inches above the water right now. It's in a tight fitting canopy so that's about all I could do with it. It can grow sps 27 inches down on the sand. Love it!

16" for me. I wanted more light dispersed to ends of the 6' tank. Also it's easier to work under. The easier you make things the longer you stay in hobby. Anyhow SPS grows fine anywhere under the light and LPS does fine at ends of tank

90 gallon (48x18x24). 8x54 watt sunpower 12" off the water. Literally the fixture fits just about flush with the tank footprint and it is perched on top of a canopy so I get zero light spill. No par meter either but I'm getting awesome acro color and PE even on those specimens at sandbed and corner level. Matter of fact the acros in the bottom half look a little better than the ones up top
