Hello reefers , 3 weeks ago I replaced my ATI power module hybrid 8×54w T5 + 3×65w LED's with ATI power module 10×54w T5 (ONLY T5 ,NO LED'S) .
my tank is 140 cm long , 70 cm wide , 55 cm high . water level is at 51 cm .
Bulbs combination:
5 blur plus
1 aquablue special
1 actinic
3 coral plus

all bulbs are ATI bulbs.
I did PAR test ,at sandbad it's 250 , and top of the rocks it's 550 .

Since I replaced the fixture ,it seems that the lightning is too powerful for the corals.
I raised the fixture to 22 cm above water surface , and the polyp extention is still not so good. also some corals loose their color.
i saw few tanks that this fixture (ATI) was hanged 10 to 15 cm xbove the water and corals responded well.
what am I doing wrong here ?
here some pics from yesterday
Their color was much stronger !

Everything still looks pretty good to me. But addressing your concerns, my guess is you had less par in old fixture. The color difference is likely the corals responding to no LEDs. I would keep it raised up, or if the fixture is dimmable, dim it down some. Otherwise I think it’ll just take time

I will keep it that high ,it's not dimmable fixture. only ON and OF modes.

Where are your nutrients at? Po4, no3, potassium? If you aren't monitoring potassium, you should. Even though it shpuld be about 400ppm, it often is lumped in with "trace elements." Potassium deficiency can cause paling like that.

I haven't checked gir potassium, I'm dosing tropic marin A,K

I think they look good and PAR numbers look good as well. I say keep everything else balanced and let it ride for a couple of months. That is an awesome light and the corals should respond very well to it. My best combination was a 50/50 mixture of blue plus and coral plus.
