Ill have one after macna if there are any left. Ill prolly have to get on a waiting list. And yes Im swimming in the drool. HAHAH

I don't know how I'd feel about that zip tied mesh on the impeller. I am sure there will be a lot of needle wheel skimmers hitting the market soon. I am holding out for a good one myself.

There is a long running thread in the DIY forum about modding pumps with this. People seem to have great results. Looks kinda trashy though.

Maybe but at least with the gutterguard, you dont have noticeable, broken , impellar pins that are common with Sedra, Gen-x (ASM, ER, type skimmer)

After speaking with a few handful of people (beta testers) Im going to hold off until this skimmer has proven itself. Product support parts etc.have me waitng to purchase.I only know of one us dealer reef geek currently. Im also sure now that macna is over we are sure to see other products come to market. This sucks because I really wanted to do this and was ready to commit but didnt on fear of some feedback I gathered. The air gauge is discontinued as of now due to the ball rusting in it. Some had problems out of the box and others didnt. I just didnt want to come up on the short end of things. And the most important reason if it came in and I didnt like it I was stuck with it.

Im still pondering the notion to, but Im really thinking why dont I just buy a BK and be done with this skimmer madness

Yeah those BK are crazy expensive and some say that they have problems with the pumps not functioning correctly on the american power. Then you would have a $2500 skimmer that dosen't even work right!

Ok I bought a ATI BM 250 I now have to wait and see how long for them to hit the country as they're a preorder status . I just hope this doesnt turn out to be the long delay such as the Vortecs were. Maybe in less than a month they are no longer using the ehiem pumps they are going with the italin made pump. The bodies are of german construction.
