ATI Bulbs

I recently picked up Aquablue special bulbs and have a dual bulb setup I would like to put a bulb with it that will make the corals pop without turning everything blue.

The 'coral plus' was recommended to me as was the UVL 75.25. Suggestion, comments?

Coral fluorescence comes from blue light. You aren't going to get the pop using an Aquablue bulb. I would add a blue plus if you keep the Aquablue or I would try running 2 coral plus bulbs.

Um, as far as I'm aware the Coral Plus is in between the blue spectrum of the Aqua Blue and the Blue Plus. If I were you I'd go with one Coral and one Purple Plus. I believe you will get a pretty even spectrum and get the pop you are looking for

A purple bulb isnt a great choice for a 2 bulb setup. The tank will look purple and unbalanced.

I think 2 coral plus may be the best bet but 2 bulbs is going to be really tough to find what you like.

Yeah I understand it's hard to find what works for me. Saving up for a new fixture. So 2 coral plus...sounds nice to me.

When my lights first turn on in the morning it's just one blue plus and one purple plus. I think it looks great. It's all a matter of taste. Many people run 50/50 purple and blue. If I had only two bulbs I would either run one aqua blue amd one blue plus or one purple plus and one blue plus.

I too used to run a blue and purple bulb for dusk dawn on my tank. It does look cool but is unbalanced. You have a ton of red in one part of the tank and then all blue in the other.

I help hundreds of people with t5 combos and have only seen maybe one or two that run a 50/50 combo of purple and blue. Most will run 3 blues to 1 purple. The coral plus has some red in it to help bring in the warmer colors. It was specifically created to be a stand alone type bulb. It is 50% blue plus, 40% aquablue and 10% purple plus. It is meant to look like one blue plus and one aquablue with a little red thrown in.
