Ati PM or ai hydras...

Building a 42"x28"x20" rimless SPS tank.
In between two ai hydras or the ati LED Powermodule...
Which do you think is best?
Is it worth the extra 500$ for the powermodule?
Thanx

I would get a Sunpower over the power module, the performance is nearly the same. Unless you want the more fancy power module, the sun power is still a great looking fixture

The Ati led PM is by far the best fixture on the market imo. They're a cut above anything else offered by ANY company. My buddies girlfriend just suprised him with a couple hydra's and they are cheap feeling imo and his too. He's sending them back to get the ghl fixtures.

hey james, i dont think he meant the regular t5powermodules, i think he meant the led-t5 powermodules, which look really good, .

i would wait for the hydra 52 coming out later this year. Remember that with the ati, you would still need to replace bulbs, and the wattage would be huge n a fixture of this size.

I was speaking of the Led PM. And as far as wattage I was thinking about getting the one with only 4 T5s.
I dont know if its just me but ive seen these led tanks and the shimmer just doesnt look right. Thought maybe with T5 it would look a lil better.

I like the controlability of the Hydras for color and dimming. I'm going to wait until the 52s come out to replace my SunPower module.. If you're looking for a hybrid fixture, I highly recommend the Prestige LED T5 hybrid fixures. You'd be set with a 36" fixture for $699. They're made by a company here in Phoenix. I've seen them on tanks down here and they rock. Google em
