I'm planning to get ATI Sunpower T5 with dimmable, I want to know how reliable of this fixture with dim function? Any experience please share with me?

Thank you!

Powermodule/Sunpower, great fixture, way better reflectors, ballasts & cooling compared to everything else on the market.

If you want the best, get ATI.

I personally don't see a reason for dimmable but that is up to you.

Yes ATI fixture & bulbs are awesome, they may look dimmer compared to halides but they give you much more consistent PAR from each end of the fixture compared to haldes.

Dimmable is up to you, I'm doing great without it.

I've had the ATI sunpower dimmable for over a year now and love it. I did have to replace two of the three ballasts. I believe that the cause was strange power surges, coupled with a faulty surge protector that the light was plugged into. The support from reefgeeks was awesome and in both cases they sent a replacement immediately. I haven't had an issue with the light since. It really does a great job by slowly bringing the reef to life in the morning, and conversely slowly quieting all the fish at night.

Im just put an order in for the 6 x 24 Dimmable fixture at reef geek. I had a Radion Pro, and downgraded to T5. T5 just give awesome color imo.....

I got spoiled with the dimming future on the Radion Pro, hence why I went with the Dimmable T5 to simmulate dusk/dawn.

When did you buy it?
I'm having what I think is a ballast issue.
Ya I'm going to be mad after 6 months and I have to buy a new one, contacted reefgeek today.

I got it March 2012 and had my last ballast issue in August. Reefgeek was truly awesome with providing the replacement part quickly. No problems since, and hoping it stays that way!

I just hope the dimmable function and controller display will last.

That's probably the only true complaint that I have about the fixture... The fixture's clock runs slow. Meaning every two weeks I lose about 6 minutes. It's easy enough to reset, mostly just an annoyance but peculiar for a high end t5 system.

That's sad, any quartz watch does way better than that.
One on ATI...

Anyway I think my issue is with the end caps or maybe my KZ purple bulb.
It does not happen often and twisting the purple bulb fixes...I think, still not sure as it doesn't happen very often, maybe 4-5 times in 6 months.
