I bought one of these recently and read in the manual that the recommended output for the fan is 4.5v. Can you run the fan at a higher setting of the AC-DC transformer? Would this give me more air flow or should it stay at 4.5v?
You can indeed run them faster, flowing more air through the unit. ATI is actually recommending that the fans are ran at either 7.5v or 9.0v to increase overall light output, and maximumize lamp life.
