Can you run only 5 bulbs in a 6 bulb unit or are the bulbs wired in series?

Unit is puts out too much light for some low level LPS, wondering if I can run lowere par bulbs or just run 5 not 6. I know I can run 4 not sure on 5.

I'm following you now, wasn't quite sure what you were meaning. I believe you have to run 2, 4, or 6, as only running 5 wouldn't let that last ballast fire up right.

Thats what I thought, will try raising fixture and use lower PAR bulbs then go to 4 if necessary.
