Atlantic blue tang

It can be done, just have to either make sure the newbie is bigger or add two fish to keep him busy. A couple years back I added a Tennentii tang the same size as the Blue and he went nuts on it. I then ran to a LFS and grabbed a Sailfin tang to put in the mix. It worked out well as in this case the Sailfin defended the Tennentii while it overcame an infestation of flukes and then the Tennentii ended up becoming the peaceful boss of the tank once he healed up. ;) When I got the Regal Angel (a notoriously hard to keep alive species) I had to find the Blue a new home in order to give the Regal the best chance to peacefully acclimate. I ended up losing the Regal anyways but don't feel bad in the least about Blue as he ended up in a great home.

I had the same experience with a different Atlantic Blue years back as well as far as them going after newly added tangs. I don't know that they're worse than Powder Blues, just that they can be pretty darn grumpy about it.

Thanks for the heads up and passing along your experiences.I didn't really want to come out with it but I thought my fish looked a bit thin and awefully pale notable in the pics.I was a bit neverous initialy on the overall health. Over the past few days I'm noticing much better appetite as well as color improvement. It was eating at introduction although more skitishly and picky.
As of now definately front and center of the food line.

Leaving now for the weekend wish everyone a happy 4th.-Graves
