Atlantic Blue Tang

I have researched this fish for about 2 weeks before purchasing but have found that there is not that much information about this particular Tang. The most common information is that as a juvenille (which i have purcahsed) it is yellow with blue around its eyes and fins, and will slowly turn blue as it grows.

I have also read that this fish's main diet is algae and the occasionally meaty offering.

The part that mianly confuses me is that some sites i have read say that no other tangs can be kept with it and that it is a very aggressive fish while other sites contradict that.

Does anyone have anymore information regarding this fish or point me in the right direction.

I have had the fish for 1 week and it is doing great. Has not stopped eating since introduced and has been very active swimming all over the place.

You can keep other tangs with it if it's needs are met and you have plenty of room, food and hiding places. Whether you should or not is a different question. I would not consider them as an agressive species of tang.

they are quite mean once they settle in. they are rather predictable and follow the usual tang rules. If you want more than one they need to be introduced at the same time. These guys get pretty big though. I have seen plenty in the wild the size of a dinner plate. gorgeous animals, good luck with him.
