atlantic ocean sand????

i live in miami i am thinking of building an atlantic type tank so i want it to be as natural as possible. i have a boat and plan on collecting rock and sand but a little unsure what sand to collect? is this sand from the bottom ok or am i going to be faced with problems? any advice is appreciated...

Most likely you should go out a mile or two to get good sand that isn't polluted like the beach sand. Even then you have a chance at getting unwanted pests in the tank. Buying reef sand from a store will look the same and no pests I wouldn't collect any rock from the ocean either unless you have a license to do so.
