Noticed their posting on Craigslist with a long long list of livestock. Are they worth the trip?

There store doesn't have much in it. They are mostly a mail order internet shop. Most of what you see on Craigslist is dropshiped from the wholesalers or repacked after the wholesalers.

wasted my time driving there. they won't give you the adverstised price anyway. they have a whole bunch of condition for you to get it, like buying a minimimum of two items: one on the advertised price and the other item double the market price.

shady people at best. they adverise cheap tanks but the condition is you have to buy the glass top. no problem except they price the glass top 3 to 4 times more than what other stores sell them for.

yea that fish store is sooo junky, someone should make a craigslist/recycler advertisement advising people NOT to go to ATA!!!

that place is a rip off, last time i was there (the first and the last) they didn't even turn on the light for the fishes, LOL. cheap assesss

Yup... I bought my tank there... shady as hell. Fortunately I made them sign my itemized reciept (when I left the deposit) so when they tried to overcharge me I whipped out the receipt that was itemized with everything on it. That being said, they did have the best price on my 135 I was able to find.

Did they make it hard on you to get a signed itemized receipt?

I went there to get some live rock. What was in the tank looked like it has been dead for a long time( no color whatsoever). I think the restaurant next door uses that place as a holding place for their fish specials.

Was that in the back tank or the front counter? What cracked me up was the old guy sitting in the old car seats in the shop?!? Very strange.

They were just putting the rock in the back tank. I asked them if it was live rock and they said "yes". I don't know very much about live rock but that rock was bright white. I thought he was curing concrete rocks.

FEW MONTHS LATER ~$3000 MISSING FROM MY ACCOUNT!!!!!

Filed the claim w/ my bank and eventually got the money back. Police Dept. didn't even care.

Whatever, I got my money back. BIG NO NO!!!!!!!

I'm getting all steamed thinking about it...Later!
