Atlantis Aquariums Group Buy

I'm going to put together another group buy, this time with Atlantis Aquariums. They have tons of stuff geared more toward high end SPS, but do have some nice zoos and LPS as well. Hoping we can get a decent order together and maybe get a percentage off, but don't count on it from ATL.

I'd like to keep a list here of what everyone is planning on getting - there is no sense in more than one or two people buying the same frags since we all seem to share. I know that I want to get some nice stuff to give back to the group, so we can also use this as a means to see if there are local sources for coral until we get the definitive list out there.

Hey Bill, sounds great, I will have a look and see if there is anything I want and can afford. I am going to be posting a new thread in a day or two about going down to a friend's place near Baltimore for the next meeting possibly. He is basically a coral farmer, it is who Dr. Mac gets most of his LE stuff. He said the club is welcome to come down and purchase some frags from him, he has all excellent stuff. Just a thought and he basically has just about anything, Zoos, chalices, Acros, Montis, just no real softies(like leathers, kenya tree, didn't see too many shrooms either the last time we were down, then again I am just so amazed at his "sticks" when I am down there. Have a good one, I called Darin he will send you his addy, if he hasn't already, hope to see you tomorrow.

When are we going, I'm getting 'the itch'. Went to TFP yesterday and couldn't bring myself to buy anything.

All I can say is, whatever nutrient problems they are having really need to be fixed before the anniversary sale or they should be horribly embarrassed. Hair algae was EVERYWHERE, even growing on the frags.

They had a nice sized confusa colony for $50 that I was considering until they turned it over and I say the HA everywhere.

I have to talk to Bobby and Jason to pick a day. I'll call Bob today and see what he says. I am very low on funds this month(paying off bathroom remodel and our vacation that is coming up in May), but I have the itch to get some new things too. I have not bought a coral from TFP in probably over a year(since raising prices on them and the SPS tank always looks like hell, I don't even look at the big coral raceway tank anymore, disgusting really. With all the employees, I would have someone on that all day/every day until it was looking good. The sad thing is that someone will buy some of that stuff, then have a tank full of the same crap. Have a good one.

Thats how it seems to be at TFP its so hard to buy anything because of all the algea. Also just to give you a heads up becareful what you buy if you buy in the sps tank, they had/have red bugs and i got something from them awhile ago and well i had red bugs then to. Just got done treating my tank and all is good now, but no more from them...sorry cant take the risk.

Wow Matt vising Mr Fox are you i got a bunch of stuff from him awhile ago you guys will love his corals and frags some really good stuff he has.

Hey Jason, yeah Bobby introduced me to him a little while back, I've been down a couple of times to his place, it is a coral lovers heaven, IMO. I still have not talked to Bobby yet, so I'll let everyone know as soon as I do what is going on.

There's been enough interest to do both (ATL buy and got to Jason Fox) so I'll continue with the group buy.

I'd like to do a delivery next Friday, so that would mean orders need to be finalized to me by Monday @ 7PM. Active members (either posting or attendance at meetings) can pay me at pickup, all others (lurkers) need to PayPal in advance.
