ATO Chiller and Control Center Questions

Sure but you want something to keep the bugs from getting in and a down spout, those things are restrictions.

Not trying to be Debbie downer, just want you to engineer it for sucsess

You could do a sheet metal duct with a ac air filter to keep bugs out and large dryer style sheet metal exit cap to keep rain out.

You might not even need a chiller, I haven't had the need.
Do you have someone home most of the time? What does the thermostat say when you come home on a hot day? The hottest I've seen at my house was 80

Mainly for emergencies... if my ac goes out etc. Piece of mind may never use it.

The teco chillers have that shroud you can point the exhaust any direction. Right out the front of the cabinet.

I'm running halides and have no chiller and no worries. If temp goes up my apex just starts turning on fans and turning lights and pumps off.

Cody. You need water in your tank first. Stop buying expensive toys are get it wet. You can add a chiller if you need it next summer if it is wet by then. By the time you get it set ip they may have banned fish and corals in home Aquariums. .

What he said. Lol and the warranty will expire from anything he bought.

My experince regarding your chiller. It could work but its going to run forever. I've tried something like your plan using an aqualogics 1/3hp inline chiller. If you could cycle the air in and out and keep the house temp low you migh get it to work.

No way you could run the chiller outside?

Take a look at the new Teco chillers less power and you can very easily duct air outside to vent the heat out. I happen to have a 1/3rd Seachill 2000 I have sitting aside for my office build if you would like to take a look and see if it will work? They are very small as well.

Haha yeah yeah yeah I think I hear an echo on the boards. I have no reason to rush anything really. Just trying to cover all my bases.

You know what warranties are worth usually? JACK.

I'll fill my tank up when the Giants win a playoff game.

Yeah Scott I was looking at the Teco chiller. I'm just trying to plan for things down the road is all.

I can put the chiller outside it will just take some modifications. My house is small so I was trying to find a way to put the that equipment in one spot to save space. Also wanted to enclose as much as possible as I have a 1 year old that is getting close to getting into all my shiet! :)
