ATO Question

I currently own a Tunze Osmolator that I would like to replace with a system from ProfiLux. I would like it to function like the Osmolator . I believe I would need the following:

Water Level Sensor Bar Assy
Optical Level Sensor
Float Level Sensor
An empty receptacle on a powerbar
A pump to move the water, I will probably use a Maxi-Jet 400

Is there anything else I would need to connect these parts to the Profilux III Controller and have similar function to the Tunze Osmolator?

I also have two additional questions,

I only noticed one port on the back of the controller for the level control, how would I connect both sensors to the controller?

How long is the sensor bar?

Hi

If you just want ATO then you only need one sensor either otpical or float, you only need two if you wish to do AWC also. And then both can be float or optical or mix and match.

To run the tow sensors off the level port you split the port using PL-LY cable

Thanks for the information. I like to use two sensors incase the first one fails so the second one can stop the pump from turning on. The Osmolator uses two sensors for just that reason.

GHL is a bit more intellegant than that then as it is fail safe, if the sensor fails then the pump will not come on, if it fails open (on) then the time out will kick in.

Is the PL-0627 sensor as safe as the other optical sensor (PL-0082)?

Also, is there a thread with instructions on how to do the AWC including sensor placement, etc?

Thank you.

I placed my order on Sunday from GHL-Direct but I have not heard anything. Are they in stock?

well they are shut sundays and as per the post on here the emails were down until today, but all is in order ;)
