ATO recommendations

I would recommend using a peristalic pump if it's in your budget....esp. if you wind up adding full strength kalk to your ATO. It will add the Kalk ATO nice and slow and not upset any sensitive corals.

The real benefit is that it eliminates any potential for back siphoning, and that you can place your ATO in the basement /garage and pump the water from a great distance away.

I have a Cole Parmer Masterflex model 7524-00 available if any one is interested. It would be a good ATO pump and that is what I used it for.

pm me if interested

well after for thinking I am liking the Avast with a simple pump for now...down the road i will upgrade the pump.
I just found out i need a new RODI unit so that comes 1st...

Autotopoff.com and Tom's Aqualifter. I have run this setup on 3 different tanks over the years and have never had a single "incident".

If you already have a controller you could figure out how much water your system evaporates and program the controller to run a pump for that amount of time, using a float switch for an emergency kill switch
