ATO Reservoir

How are you sealing the adaptor to the container? Do you just use a threaded fitting on the inside with a gasket?
I am using a threaded PVC adapter. A 3/4 PVC slip on one side and threaded on the other. I used thread sealant and put some ge one silicone on the inside cause I could not find a washer that size at the store.

I've seen someone use a setup like that with the male/female fittings and use an o-ring on the inside, scares me because I don't see how it could be water tight. Also, I didn't think silicone would adhere to plastic

If you can find an O ring, I would give it a try.
The silicon was just added protection. I water tested with just the fittings tightened down and there was no leaks.
But I wasn't putting the ato into use for a few weeks, so I silicone it as well.

Aha - Thanks! Here I've been looking for an actual bulkhead all this time! I would think you could find an actual gasket that size, but I'll have to look and see. I've got a unseal with a ¾" PVC elbow coming out of it to pump water out of my mixing tub, so I can just put a Tee on that and the hose adaptor onto the Tee, but I couldn't figure out a good way to attach the other end.

Even if the silicone doesn't adhere well to the plastic, if it's under compression, it will seal like a gasket.
