ato units

I've been using the spectrapure one for almost 4 years now. I don't think that anyone raves about it, but it's very simple to set up and use. I think that it was one of the lower priced ones. The only issue is that it came with a suction cup holder. I just glued it to an old magnet cleaner instead.

+1 on the Tsunami ATO. It works better than the $200 Tunze Osmolater I had, and it was only 1/3 the price. Pair it with an Aqualifter or another small(er) GPH pump and you'll be good to go! JMO

Tsunami ato used one for over one year no issues what so ever. ( I don't use one now cause I'm doing more gallons per day so I top of a few times a day)

Shameless plug for Genesis Reef Systems to follow...

top notch product, top notch cust service, top notch everything. It's a tad expensive but man I tell you I do NOT worry any longer about burning out a pump or not being around the house to top off the sump... Give Kevin a shout or at the very least browse their sub forum. You're not goin to find a dissatisfied customer.

My top off isn't automatic its a Controlled Flow Top Off (CFTO) and it costs little over $12. Its flow is regulated by a medical control for intravenous fluids that is fed with an aqualifter pump. It may not be for the equipment proud, or someone whose tank requires near complete automation, but it will never over dose. It delivers a steady controlled .10ml drip. Here's what it looks like:

Where can I buy one of those flow controls? seems better than my air line valve gates :)

My other is a veterinarian, she brought those home a long time ago; they were a product a vendor gave them to try. The ones she has brought home recently have a pinch wheel that isn't calibrated like these. I'll look around the web, and see if she'll check her catalogs.

Just installed a level loc ato. It runs inline with your RO/DI if you choose making a resivore a thing of the past. Love it couldn't be happier.
