I am looking for a new ATO (was using gravity fed). Here's the thing, I want to put the sensor in the third chamber of my sump where the pump is. When I pause my pump to feed, that chamber fills up with water (obviously, right?). While looking at all the options, I see the different sensors and float switches.
Well, I am wondering, how would this affect the sensors? If I use an ATO with a float switch, the float may break or disconnect as the water level rises right? If I use an ATO with the non optical, non float sensor, wouldn't too much salt creep hinder it's sensitivity after a few feedings?
I guess, if you pause ur pump to feed and the water level rises where your sensor is... What do you use for ATO, and how do you like it?
Does that make sense or am I being stupid?
