atrosalarius fuscus (Black Sailfin Blenny)

I purchase one of these at the LFS a few days ago. Apprently they are obligatory herbivores. I have plenty of microalgae in my aquarium for him to feed from. However anything i introduce in the form of food he doesn't seem to be interested in. Are these particular blennies averse to eating prepared foods? Will they eat any omnivourous type prepared foods?

Hmm, I would wonder about that picture, as it states "the yellow juvenile is shown". I can not see the one I had and that one as completely different in eating habits. I am sure they would eat Formula 2 without a second thought.

Dunno, he's only been in the tank a little under 2 days, i probably need to give him more room to adjust.

I had one that never ate prepared food and slowly wasted away.

I have one for 2 years now in my reef and he just eat micro algae off the rocks and nothing else. Doesn't even seems interested in anyone of the food that I've place in the tank but he's in good shape after all this time.

I have one that eats prepared foods. Doesn't eat it with gusto, though. He'll grab a piece of mysis and spit it the same piece in and out of his mouth a few times before he finishes it. He manages to stay fat, however.

I have plenty o' micro algae in my tank, that's for sure. for those of you that do have them, how long did they usually take to start eating?
