attach scoly to an epoxy base?

have had a scoly for about 8 months now. I never really fed it directly but broadcast feed the tank frozen rods food. Lately it has started to shrivel up a bit and not look as happy. It could be because of food but I also wonder if its because it gets moved around on the sandbed. I thought about making a base out of aquarium putty/epoxy and stick it to it and then place the putty base on the sand next to rock work. Any issue doing this or any feedback at all about the scoly?

What do you mean by moved around on the sandbed?

You don't want to move it close to rocks, they can cut the flesh when it opens which will shrivel it more. Chance are if it's near rocks now that's why it's shriveling.

have conch snails that bump it from time to time and move it. it is close to the rock, I need to move it?
