I have a ricordia that came off the frag plug it was on when i bought it. Now I can't seem to get it to stick to a plug, even with crazy glue gel. it sticks then comes off.
Put it in some kind of small - as in not much bigger than the ric - with gravel or rock rubble. Put in a very low flow area of the tank and cover the container with something if you have to to keep critters out - you can use toile (bridal veil, at any craft store) or some kind of inert, flexible screening material. Then wait. It could take anywhere from a couple of days to a couple of weeks for it to attach. There must be something on the plug that it isn't happy about.
I have it in a stick on soap dish now. I want to know how it got off the superglue. I think it ripped off the first plug. I didn't know if there was a rubberband or a toothpick trick.
It does seem like it shouldn't have been able to get off the superglue. It's probably for the best that it did. I thought I'd read somewhere that it wasn't a good idea to use superglue directly on the tissue of softies and corallimorpharians, but I'm not sure.
