Attaching Wavebox to Magnets

Roger, I looked back at your previous responses but I am still not getting it. I don't know if I am missing a piece or am just a bit slow today. On the back of the wavebox there are 4 horizontal tabs, I put the mag on there and it clicked in to place but there is nothing to hold the box against the magnet. I can look at it hard and it will fall off. Does this make sense, and can you help me out? Thanks, Jay

Hi Jay,

I figured pictures would speak louder than words in this case....

Here is the top magnet:

And the bottom magnet:

The top one is "right side up" and the bottom is mirror imaged, "top" pointing down. Both the top and bottom magnets are flush with the top and bottom of the Wavebox.

Don't forget to screw the provided nylon screws into the 2 threaded holes on the back of the Wavebox. (As seen on the very bottom of the 1st picture) Otherwise, water will stream into the holes and cause micro-bubbles.

hth,

Luis

Thank You Luis. That confirms my thoughts on how to orient the magnets. What part is the brown piece that fits in the keyholes on the magnet and how do you connect it securely to the wavebox?
Thanks, Jay

Jay,

Those brown pieces are like mushroom shaped pegs that slide and lock into the keyholes. They are part of the Wavebox box already...not parts that you install. You do have those 4 pegs on the back of your Wavebox don't you?

Luis

No I don't Luis, I think maybe that was what was throwing me. I don't know what the deal is. I just have 4 round holes that would be where the pegs would go. I appreciate your help Luis, I was beginning to think I was loosing my mind. I guess I will see if this can be repaired or if I should send it back. Thanks, Jay

Sounds like they didn't get glued in at the factory...you didn't see any pegs floating around loose in the box did you?

I wouldn't worry too much...I'm sure Roger will take care of it!

Actually you know what would work while your waiting for the fix from Tunze would be to go down to the local hardware and buy 4 nylon/plastic nuts and bolts that would fit the holes of the magnets and Wavebox. You could just bolt it together. Probably less than $2.00 worth of parts!

Just a thought,

Luis

No pegs, I looked through everything at least 10 times. I was thinking the same thing about the nylon bolts. Just run them through the wave box and catch the keyhole? I will see what Roger says. I'm ready to get this thing going. Thanks again Luis.

Can you post a picture of the back of your wavebox? It wouldn't even work with the rails if 2 pegs were not there.

Hmm, I can't believe it, they forgot them. We will have to exchange the box for you, please PM me your address.

Just wanted to post and say that everything has been taken care of. Things happen, what you gonna, do whine about it or address the issue. Thank you for the quick resolution Roger.
Satisfied Jay
