attaching zoas

I have a few random zoa polyps that were given as a freebie from a fellow reefer. How can I attach them to a piece of lr or a plug? Just glue them?

Superglue works for me.

Make sure it's the gel. It works alot better

Lots of people like to let the rock dry out for a few (15) minutes, specifically the spot where you are gluing. Then dab the bottom of the polyp with a towel to dry it a little too. Hold it on the rock for a minute or so, then let it sit out for another 15 minutes.

i would not let it sit out for a few minutes. When super glue is drying it gets hot. I like to put the glue on the rock out of the water, then lightly press the zoo into the glue, then dip the rock in the water. It causes the glue to form a shell almost when it comes in contact with the water. I rarely have a problem with them falling off the rocks using this method.

The other day I used this method, and I was very liberal with the glue and noticed the 'shell' surrounding zoa's and it seems a bit confining. Is there an issue where they won't be able to grow over/on the glue?

(Not trying to hijack the thread, but it's a similar question..)

No, they will grow over it just fine.
