Attack of the Blue Linckia

Always heard these stars were reef safe and so far I've had good luck. But for the past day or so the linckia was drapped over a large Chili coral added to the tank a few weeks ago. Tonite I noticed it had moved and when looking over the tank I noticed the chili coral was missing a significant amount of tissue where the star had been (about 1or 2 millimeters of a 1"X1" section).
From what I have read, it is unknown what Linckia's feed on. Could they feed on Chili corals or was it taking advantage of dying tissue on the Chili? I noticed this just before the tank lights went out so I will post some pics tomorrow.

Any thoughts? ......

chilis i thought where very hard corals to keep? it may have just been doing the later, eating the dying coral. the one i had survived for years on scavenging on things in the tank, main food being detrius i think.
