attn: all PICASSO clown owners

since ora will not sell me there ultimate picasso clown, this juv. clown above is prob. the closest ill get to it getting something like oras :)

I'm surprised that the snowflake clown costs that much... I would honestly pay for a pair of onyxes instead, IMO onyx look much sweeter. Embryoguy, how large is the picasso clown pictured? Have you noticed any genetic differences between these and regular perculas or onyxes? I am concerned about their longevity as well as hardiness. Often times when things are selectively bred their health is severely impacted.

And what are you basing this statement on? Several thousands of years of selective breeding cattle? I am not aware of "horrible" problems there. Several hundreds of years of dog breeding? Yes, problems have occurred, but not across the breed.

Seeing that this variant of A. percula are all, at this time, F1 (i.e. offspring from wild stock), there is no inbreeding. So why would anyone even claim that these fish are severely impacted as to their health?

well stated oama,

i agree with you bicycle,
i like my onyx more. i bought the snowflake for there genetic variation to hopefully mix with onyx.
