Where I think your tank really shines against the others is that you have patches of color and texture that connect to the other patches. When you see the nicest reefs in the wild every inch of rock is covered with something-it is very much a patchwork of one color or texture right up next to the adjacent ones.
I also think you've done a great job with the scale of the items in your tank. Even the largest pieces are in scale with the rest of the tank-it's all nicely balanced.

somewhat along the same lines as warren's last comment, i like when nanos are sustainable... meaning they don't have "temporary" inhabitants that will outgrow the tank in a short time. (cough...bta and clown in a 3.5 gallon)
