August MTRC Meeting

The August meeting will be hosted by Emerald Bay (http://www.ebayfish.com/). This will be a cool meeting. Here are some of the details:

- The meeting will be on August 4, and will start at 8pm.
- For those who want to come early and hang out, we will have the back room of Cancun (mexican restaurant) reserved starting at 6pm. They will be able to split checks so you can order dinner or drinks and hang out with a bunch of reef geeks
- There is a group order underway for cleanup crew items which you can pick up and pay for at the meeting (http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1164940).
- There will be a guest speaker doing a presentation on protein skimming (foam fractionation). Dr. Robert Tanner from Vanderbilt is one of the world's experts on foam fractionation and will give a powerpoint presentation on this.

As always, MTRC members will also enjoy special deals in the store and we will frag some corals. It will be quite a meeting!

I think I met a couple of you guys today at EBay. For everyone that doesn't know me yet... maybe Mexican food before standing in a nice humid room isn't going to be the best way to make an impression... actually... na, it'll make an impression.

It turns out that Dr. Tanner will not be able to do his presentation at the August 4, meeting. He is available to do the talk at the Sept 15 meeting at Brian and Moriah's so I'll see if we can work that out. There is still plenty on the plate for the ebay meeting, though

I told them we would probably start showing up at about 6:30, but we really have the room reserved for all night! So come, get a bite to eat & meet new people. We will all definately have a great time, but don't let KevLouie get too drunk off the Margaritas!

Are you bringing mine to the meeting also?.... I've been using the invisible one on a couple of occasions But that one works at the critter and ebay just fine. Thanks for all your work and time.
