Aussie Acanthastrea lordhowensis Issue

I have had an Aussie Acanthastrea lordhowensis in my tank for 2 months and it was growing nicely etc"¦ in the past 2 days it has closed up / receded its tissue.

My parameters are how I normally keep them - Alk - 9dkh, Cal- 420ppm, Mg 1400ppm, Salinty - 35ppm etc"¦

All my other corals are doing fine.

Any ideas on what could be the issue? Should I do something to address this or just wait and see?

I've been running the same Alk level without any problems for 2 months with this coral so not sure why it would be an issue now?

It tough to get a good pic of this but the first photo is one when it was fully opened and the second is how it looks now. No polyp extension, looks shriveled etc"¦ There is a war coral about 4 inches from it but I have never seen it have anything extending that long and they coexisted next to each other for awhile.

Hard to say, I have acan lords and i know one of them likes to shrivel up for a few days and then come back like nothing happened, i haven't figured out why yet. when it happened the first two times i dipped it in coral rx just to be safe. the last time or two it didn't shrivel as much, no tentacle extension for a few days, and was just fine again. I've moved him away from any coral in the area, so i know it's not stinging.

all it takes is for a crab to walk over them and they deflate for a bit so if you ave something walking over or picking at it they will not extend.

I landed up dipping it and moving it away from any other coral. After about a week its now reopening and looking good!
