Aussie Clown Anemone

I am planning on purchasing a pair of Aussie clowns for a fowlr tank im setting up. I eventually plan to upgrade the tank so that it can accommodate corals and hopefully an anemone for this pair. I have a BTA in a separate tank and I was wondering if Aussie clowns will host in a BTA or whether I will need to get something else. Also, what are the chances they will accept an anemone that is introduced into the tank a few months after they are? Thanks.

What are aussie clowns? (species name?)

If your just setting the tank up, I strongly suggest waiting at a minimum 6 months before putting any anemone in the tank so that the water params can start to stabilize.

What type of lighting are you planning?

The pair I have reserved is just listed as ORA Aussie Clownfish. From what I've read that would put them as Amphiprion rubrocinctus. I had planned on waiting several months before upgrading it to a reef anyway due to my budget. I plan on buying a t5 fixture when I set up the reef.

A.Akindyos ( forgive the spelling). I believe that the bubbletip is a natural host.

No, Chimera is right. ORA lists their A. rubrocinctus as "Australian Clownfish".
If that is the case, a BTA is their primary host anemone in the wild.

Hmm. My mistake then. It's just that my LFS has a pair of "Australian clownfish" and his wholesaler lists tham as A. Akindyos. But either way, a bubbletip seems to be acceptable

A. akindynos, if I remember correctly, is the barrier reef clownfish--still Australian, though. Now you know why I hate common names.

I assumed he was talking about black ocellaris clowns in the first post, as some stores have been starting to refer to them as Australian black clowns.
This is why using the scientific names is important.
