So a few people have picked up the L.A. Aussie pieces. How are the colors holding up in your tanks? I've had my wild Aussie piece for about a week and a half and the blue on the hoek is still holding strong. I've had wild Fiji pieces brown out in less than a week so that's a good sign so far.

My colonies are doing well. The hoek is still looking dang good. And if it did lose a bit of color it's probably because of my water parameters....my sps does not look as colorful as some of you guys'. ;)

At the volume and rate Route66 is bringing in this stuff, its not going to be rare for long. I don't think demand will support the kinds of prices they are asking for these corals. My thought is that, provided Aust does not get shut down or more heavily regulated, Aussie will just become another source like Bali, Fiji, etc and the prices will fall in alignment with the others.

Im all for it because not just the rich should have access to such killer selection.

Ive been thinking this same thing. Echinatas are awesome corals regardless, but at the same time I think part of the appeal is that they're seldom seen.

Not anymore though....
