It can be difficult to tell the difference between Australomussa and Scolymia sometimes, but sure looks like Australomussa to me. Very nicely colored one too.
yeah, I have definitely been having trouble, thanks for your response! Unfortunately pretty difficult to find info on Australomussa care as well.
edit: And thanks, i really like the color on this piece, didn't seem to be too happy in the tank i bought it from, it's starting to puff up a bit and color up real nicely.

All of mine have proven to be pretty adaptable. I have some under 400w halides (though out on the margins of the tank) and some under 6x54w T5s. As long as you dont really blast them with direct halides, they seem to adjust pretty well. They open best under a moderate to low current; strong flow will keep them closed up, and may erode tissue if too extreme. They will eat very aggressively given the chance. Overall, I would say the care is a lot like Acanthastrea, Cynarina, and other common mussids.
thanks a lot for the info! What do you normally feed/with what? (pipette, baster?) Do you stick to feeding at night?

Looks like a beautiful example of Australomussa.
I feed mine at night - powerheads off - drop pellets over the surface. It will respond quickly by heaving up the mouth edges and dropping the mouth center. Small tentacles will appear to trap the food.
Moderate light ( bottom of 72bow with T5). Moderate flow.
