I recently got a a 6 head frag of duncans , from a friend for free . I dont know much about them. My friend moved & no phone to call him ,i was hoping you guys can help . I have a 3 year old reef all sps few lps . I was wondering were to put them high, low & how much flow . Yeah i know what lights 3X 250 20000k 4X56 t5s.&my solaris in front of tank. any help would be great. Thanks

i have mine in the middle of the tank in moderately random flow under my 150w sunpod in my 24g. they are open all day long and night. i also spot feed them every other day with some mysis. good luck with them. they are gorgeous when they are open. they are hardy so they may like it anywhere. a lot of people have them on the sandbed. it will let you know if it's happy. hope this helps.

I'd start them out low if you don't know what they were under, mine don't open well in lots of flow so probably moderate to low flow, they should be able to adapt to any lighting, mine have been under 70-150 watts of halide and do great, like said they are very hardy and love to eat.

I think that would be "Australia," not "Austria" (two very different places, hehe).

Very hardy & fast growing under just about any lighting but moderate flow and regular feeding makes them grow very fast.

Would you put up a tank shot? I would like to see what that light combo looks like.

I would start them off somewhere low and gradually move them to somewhere in the middle of the tank. target feeding them will make them grow pretty fast.
