im looking to buy either an tunze osmolater or elos osmocontroller digitial. anyone using either that could let me know how dependable they have been for you. thanks for any help

I know Tunze has a great rep so you cant go wrong with it. I have been using a JBJ ATO for a while now with no issues, works great and is less $ than Tunze and Elos.

I've got a buddy running the Tunze system for about a year and he's had no problems with it (older float-switch style), and it was used when he got it.

Sorry, no personal experience with the Elos unit.

Not in the subject of the OP but I've ran the JBJ unit for a couple years and loved it with a higher-volume pump. It was the cheapest setup and had dual float switches so I could run a high-water safety shut-off, but I started having problems with the system when I moved to a slower paristaltic pump.

I have used a Tunze for many years and it is the best ,cost a little more but you will get years of good service and controling water that is what you need.

The spectrapure ultra precise unit is a good option also. I chose that one because it uses a dosing style pump and I can have my ATO reservoir in the garage. Very good unit.

I might be in the minority here, but I have been very disappointed in my Elos unit. I have had it for two years, and have replaced the pump twice, and the sensor "eye" once. If I manually try to activate the pump, I just get this weird little "burp" of water and the then the pump sort of twists and turns off.
I have a Tunze on my QT tank that I plan to eventually use to replace the Elos, and am very happy with it. Maybe I just got a bad one, but since I have basically replaced almost every component, one piece at a time, you'd think I would have worked out any issues with it by now?

I'm seeing this new one called the Auqa Hydrofill ATO. The controller is $200 and the optional pump (I would just use my TOM Aqualifter) is an additional $100. Uses 2 separate High and Low conductive sensors.

Any one have one of these yet? I want to eliminate my float switches ASAP. I'm using an Aquahub DIY ATO.
