Design progressing.... top T grove will fit on rim of tank and provide horizontal and vertical stability, bottom elbow is threaded and will have a tension pipe across sump to support the diagonal lift caused by the float wanting to pivot on the rim. all piping to be drilled randomly hoping pods will make it a home...

That would reaaaaly scare me if it's hooked up directly to a water line. Otherwise my hats off to you, great idea. I have had my single ato bouy stick open. My reservoir is only 2 gallons and I have to fill it daily anyway, but if I was smart enough to put a waterline in by the tank I would get the one with a backup level.

Well, its on a 55 gallon drum that could be full. I'm thinking of a float switch and solenoid valve as a hi level safety. I have the float switches from my old tank just have to pick a voltage and find a solenoid valve. I was thinking of the irrigation valves but not sure if they work on low pressure since they are a differental pressure device... I plan on keeping the valve throttled down so even if it stuck open it would take hours to overflow the sump. There is about 6" of airspace in the sump from normal level to surge level when the pump shuts off. Since the barrel has such low pressure and the float valve has a high seat pressure I am more concerned about not keeping up....

obstacle... Not enought head pressure to overcome seat pressure....looking for a new plan... Bummer.. But I did get my mangroves repotted..

Version 2 is a success!!! Got a different valve and reused the float from V1 looks good!!! :celeb1: Some teflon bolts, custom bent acrylic, valve, repurposed parts and pvc pipe $10.00 not having to pour water in sump...AWESOME...:celeb2:
