What parts libraries do you all use to render your drawings?

i got a parts library cd from charlotte pipe but i cant get the parts into autocad2008. (it loaded a program onto my computer called PlantSpec, if you are familar with this. It lets you view all the parts and dimensions) And i also heard of thomasnet.org but i cant get these parts into my version of CAD.

Any suggestions, Am i doing this wrong??
