Automatic skimmer 3110/2

Hi. I have a 30 gallon tank and I resently purchased the Tunze Automatic skimmer 3110/2. I was having a problem installing it. Do I have to cut the plastic trim around the tank to attach the bar? Thanks

No, it should have included long metal screws to accomodate the trim, their should be a seperate page of instructions for instalation on US tanks, sometimes this is in a seperate parts package.

Thanks for the reply. I don't have them. I looked everywhere. I have an inwall 30 gallon fish tank that I inherited in an office. I can't cut sheet rock to put a sump so I bought this product. Should I call the company and ask for US instuctions and screws? I bought it from Marine Depot about 5 months ago and just started to redo the tank.

They just started including the screws this spring so it is likely before that time. Before they included them it was kit 3000.244 for Oceanic/All Glass and they cost about $3.50, this kit is long anodized stainless steel screws and a spacer set. I know Marine Depot has them.
