The amount of goo on it

With top removed

Bubbles blown out of the way

Pretty darn clean after ignoring it for weeks.

my main point is what would your skimmer look like and how often would you have to clean it if you did not run the swabbie? I bet after 2 weeks your effective skimate would be drastically reduced. Can you run a test on that? Collect while running the swabbie for 2 weeks and measure the skimate. then remove the swabbie for 2 weeks and measure again and if that is the only change I would bet there will be some difference. But is that difference worth the $145 dollars? That is what I would like to see. Now would 1 min with a toothbrush cleaning the swabbie and the neck each week or 2 help? Just throwing out the questions as I would like more info also, Before I buy one and it be a waste of my money.

Not sure who this question is directed towards. If it's me, I gave my opinion in an earlier post.

Only you will answer your main point/question by buying one and seeing for yourself. I'm in no way trying to stop anyone buying one. I'm just simply stating my facts as to why mine sits on a shelf

My bad for your cleaning tonight lol. If you could see the bottom of your skimmer I'm sure you would clean it more than you are now just think about that gunk hanging off the wiper. When it gets too heavy where will it go. With my ATB I seen what happens is all I'm saying

It seems like the goo on the wiper would have the same bubble popping effect that goo on the walls does. Maybe a bit less due to having less surface area, but the problem is still there. Someone near me has a water sprayer shoot tank water out of little jets in there at the same time the cleaner operates. A bit of stuff rinses back down into the skimmer, but the increased efficiency still results in overall more gunk getting taken out.
