ill be posting a few updates in the next few days, for now here is a little summary of what's going on

fish-
i got a pair of Genicanthus melanospila Angels and a little hippo that just made in the my DT

corals-
going to start my 72 qt mid January, for now i will start with easy corals
kenya tree
red/orange montipora
birdsnest
fropspawn

equipment-
i replaced my wavemakers with a GYRE... WOW... i will post a video, it is almost overkill for my tank, i can not run it past 80% as it lifts the sandbed on the opposite side of the tank, again pics&video to come shortly

since i started Tank Transfer on all new arrivals, i decided to add some plumbing to make life easier

QT frag tank-
well this is mostly Ca1ore's fault.... after showing off his nice new frag tank, mine suddenly looked like a goldfish bowl.... so i decided to go as big as i can and change the lighting

that's it for now, ill be slowly posting pictures and videos

Plumbing update, i now have a jabo 12000dc pump in my new saltwater mixing bin and i also have one in my DT, with a turn of a valve i can either choose DT or NSW. all my qt tanks are hard plumbed and i added a hose to fill anything else (helps when i use little 10g tanks for TT)

This is making life much easier, as i mix nsw with a salinity of .18-19 for newcomers and once they are finished i slowly acclimate them to dt water!

as for my coral qt/frag tank, i have ordered a custom 42x12x12 tank from miracles, this is the largest tank i can fit on my rack. I also had to rethink my lighting, i really had no choice but to go with the razor since i have limited height and i needed the light to be as high as possible.

the new tank will be 42 inches long vs my current tank 22''

it is attached with 4 neodymium magnets

i decided to modify the razor, i do not understand why the led clusters are so close, i was able to move the side ones a few inches

i also changed the optics to 120

here is step by step, it was very easy all i had to do was extend 6 cables, cut one corner of the light cluster and slightly modify one of the lenses

i also had to move the heat sensor

I lowered the led like you said (at 45) and for now the tank is doing great without a scrubber

Alright so i finally got my custom tank and after a crap load of slavery its done!

this is a 72 day (anything wet that is not a fish) QT

this will be my new qt frag tank, the main display does 3 WC of 2gallons per day, the waste water is dumped into this tank and the excess water is disposed automatically with the small drain overflow on the opposite side of the tank, FULLY AUTOMATIC!

i custom made both overflows and turned a aqua clear ac70 into a mini refugium, the reason i added sand is to QT starfish and various sand sifters in the future as this tank gets established, the live rock is from my display (display is getting auto 2 part dosing so the waste water is perfect!)
