I had a light bulb go off in my head about the kalkwasser OD thing, the reason why I had total destruction is because all I pretty much kept in the tank were Acropora, which will not tolerate the resulting alk crash as well as something like a mixed reef.

So yes if you run into a kalk OD on a mixed reef you may pull through without killing stuff, but if you have a tank full of Acros it can be a very bad deal.

Actually the answer is no you cannot. You have to buy a new switch.

Oh I didn't know you were wanting to upgrade the AC switch to digital...I'm not sure that's even possible.

But there's no reason you can't plug the AC switch itself up to the EB8. Then the apex could tell you when it trips.

Apex doesn't work like that. While it can log power usage, that in itself is not an actionable input.

Well that's kind of stupid. For that kind of money it can't alert you when an outlet is, or is not, under load?

Terrible design flaw if you ask me.
