average price for a 225

I want to get a 225 ( a nice jump from my 72 bow) and am wondering how much they cost. I know there are lots of variables but I am looking for a ball park as I am not sure the exact tank I want yet. I would like to know price for deep deminsion, the standard 225 with duel overflows, no overflows, glass vs acrylic, etc. I have not come up with much for pricing of glass tanks on line and I am not too interested in acrylic. Also what is a good brand/tank to get as far as a 225 goes. I dont want to get it all set up and have it explode on me 4 months down the road.

Anywhere from $750- $1700 and everything inbetween.

Look at other avenues other than LFS. You can usually find a decent deal on used tanks, if that is what you are looking for.

I sold my 220 with stand for approximately 500 bucks, to get rid of it.

If you have a local forum, check there and some folks post things in the paper.

I have not seen anything local. I can not seem to find anywhere to buy a new glass tank other then the LFS. I figured it would be about 1200 dollars.

So what brand and source does everyone have and what would you recommend?

I would go for an AGA tank... My uncles 180g has been up for 12-15 years no problems...
